 Weekly copays are billed every Monday. Copays are due by close the following day.

We do our best to ensure that we have coverage for children when their 1:1 provider is out; however, things happen and sometimes it is not possible.

If your child’s assigned technician is absent, and no other technician is available to cover their session, your child’s session will be canceled. Your child MAY NOT attend the center without a 1:1 behavior technician, with the exception of nap time. This means that you may need to drop your child off at the center later, or pick them up earlier in the day.

Yes. In order to meet all of the OCFS requirements as a NYS Licensed Day Care Center, as well as provide the highest quality care to your child, each family is required to pay tuition to the Play Now Early Childhood Center each month for children attending the center. Please be aware that your agreement with Play Now is completely separate from The Behavior Place. The Behavior Place does not charge tuition.

Whether or not you pay copays or coinsurance is dependent upon your health plan with your insurer. 

Tuition payments directly contribute to a range of enhanced services:

1. Multi-Disciplinary Model

• Collaboration with Outside Services: The Behavior Place at Play Now accommodates a range of related services such as Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy (OT), and Physical Therapy (PT), integrating them into your child’s ABA therapy plan. This provides a more holistic, multi-disciplinary approach, enhancing development in multiple areas.
• Example: Your child can receive speech therapy right on-site, from your preferred provider, reducing the need for multiple appointments across different locations.

2. Greater Consistency and Fewer Disruptions

• Reduced Session Cancellations: Unlike home-based or school-based programs, sessions are less likely to be canceled due to illness or travel, ensuring more consistent ABA therapy sessions and less disruption to your child’s progress and your schedule.
• Example: Fewer missed days lead to steadier progress and fewer unexpected breaks in routine for your child, allowing for smoother days for you as a parent. 

3. Highly Trained Staff

• Rigorous Training: The Behavior Place at Play Now ensures continuous, high-quality training for its staff in both ABA therapy techniques and early childhood education. This allows for a higher level of care that addresses both behavioral and developmental needs in a comprehensive manner.
• Example: Every technician working with your child is not only proficient in ABA but also well-versed in early childhood developmental milestones, leading to well-rounded interventions. 

4. Compliance with OCFS Regulations

• Regulatory Assurance: As a NYS-licensed day care center, Play Now complies with the regulations of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS), ensuring a safe, secure, and well-managed environment for your child. This includes stringent health and safety protocols, staff-to-child ratios, and staff qualification requirements.

5. Advanced Technology Integration

• Individual iPads: Each child at Play Now is assigned their own iPad to use at the center, which is used to track progress, provide customized learning activities, and enhance communication between you and your child's technician.
• Example: Digital tools enable technicians to monitor your child’s skill acquisition in real-time, providing visual aids and interactive learning opportunities that enrich therapy sessions.

6. Enhanced Classroom and Learning Environment

• Access to Resources: Tuition supports a stimulating learning environment equipped with various learning materials designed to foster engagement and progress in a range of developmental areas, including fine motor skills, language, and social interaction.

No. If you have entered into a child care center agreement with the Play Now Early Childhood Center, this agreement is based strictly on enrollment. No credit will be given or substitution of days allowed for absences, for the scheduled closure of the Center (including holidays), emergency closures, delayed openings, cancelled sessions due to absence of 1:1 ABA technicians, pandemics, natural disasters, acts of God, and/or quarantine.

No. Parents assume full responsibility for their child en-route to and from the Center as well as when the child is in their care during drop off and pick up (this includes but is not limited to the parking lot, play area, and/or classroom, etc.).

Late Payment Fee & Suspension/Termination of Services Due to Nonpayment

There will be a $35 late payment fee for any invoice past due and services will be suspended immediately. Your child’s spot will be saved for 3 days. After 3 days, services will be terminated, and your child’s spot will be made available to another child on our waiting list.

Late Arrival Fee

There will be a $75 late arrival fee for any patients who arrive more than 30 minutes late to their scheduled session. Fees will be applied to each late arrival.

Cancellation Fee

If 24 hour prior notification is not given, you will be charged $75 for each missed appointment. This will not be covered by your insurance company. 

Non-adherence with Parent Training Requirements Fee

A minimum of 6 hours of parent training must be completed per month. A non-adherence fee of $870 will be charged for each month that 6 hours of parent training are not completed. Attendance during group parent training sessions counts toward this minimum monthly hour requirement.

Late Pick Up Fee

$15 will be charged to your account for 1-15 minutes late, $30 for 16-30 minutes late, etc.
